This painting was not even CLOSE to what is pictured. In the photo, there is TONS of detail, so much so that I was afraid I wouldn't get this done by Christmas. A couple weeks later it's done, and it looks like CRAP.When I got the painting, I'd just finished 'Sky Kings' (WONDERFUL painting, highly recommend), and was looking forward to doing this one for my dad in the nursing home, since he loves eagles and nature and is very patriotic. After the last painting, the details in this one looked a little poor, but I decided to give it a try and see what it looked like. BIG mistake and waste of time.The flag in the background has a total of 5 or 6 splotches that I guess (?) are supposed to be stars (and they're not even white), the soldiers in the background can....KIND OF.... be seen, but the detail is non-existant. The eagle has purple (PURPLE!) and yellow-green in it, the flag is pale blue, pink and purple, for crying out loud. The eagle's eye is PINK. All in all, the colors are all over the board and don't fit the picture.Looking on the back of the box, it says that 'After finishing the painting, you can add details on it to make it more vivid, lively with your creative.' (Obviously google translated, so this is from China or something, that's why it's cheaply made.) Yes, I'm an artist, but even I find it's going to be a challenge making this look anything like the photo....I'm even wondering if I should waste the time or just trash it. One of the reasons I'm thinking that I won't even try is because the paints, while are similar to acrylic, are different--they have a shimmery finish that regular acrylic just doesn't have. I'm not sure if it's because they're 'made with Green Materials' or what, but I don't think my paints will leave the same smooth finish. If someone who's NOT an artist gets this, they'll finish it and end up with a HORRIBLE piece of art that they can't really do anything with.If I could give this negative stars, I certainly would. Unfortunately, I ordered another from this company at the same time, and it's STILL in shipping, I'm scared to see the crap that one will be.DO NOT BUY THIS 'PAINTING'....it's a waste of money and time. Unless you want a laugh.
